Hello Everyone,
Well, I guess winter is back again but at least we didn’t have to shovel it.

We just finished with a few very successful events.  Bob’s ribs on St. Patrick’s Day were a hit, as usual, and a big Thank You to Bob and his crew.  It took over 100 volunteer hours to put that event on.

Our most recent event was the Fashion Show.  Helene organized a great event and over 50 people enjoyed the afternoon socializing and exploring new fashions.  The models were mostly our members and they strutted up and down the runway proudly.  Thank You to Helene and all her models.
There will be a change in the walking group. Usually, the group disbands for the summer but have decided to take it outside this year.  They will meet at the hall Mon. and Wed. at 10:00 and go for a half to three-quarters of an hour walk around the village.  If the weather is bad, they will walk indoors.  This will be followed by the same coffee/social time.  Everyone is welcome.
We have a new group on Tuesdays from 9 – 3.  Quilters are getting together to create some beautiful things.  This group will be quilting all summer and welcome anyone to stop by to see what they are working on.  If you are a quilter, you are welcome to join them.
Monday Night Hamburgers will start on May 6.  You will get a fully loaded hamburger, bag of chips, dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage for $12.00.  Bar will be open. Doors open at 5 with supper at 6 and for this first Hamburger Night there will be horse races at 7. Bring your quarters! We will have Hamburger Nights every Monday for May, except the long weekend, and June – please consider volunteering for June 24 so that it could be a Hamburger Night too.
Our AGM is on Monday June 3 at 7 pm after hamburgers. We need good attendance to make some decisions on our building and we will elect the new Officers / Directors for the coming year. Our Treasurer, Jayne, has decided to step back so this big position is open too.  Thank you Jayne for all your hard work.  Please let someone on the board know if you are interested in letting your name stand for any of the positions.
We are doing the Calahoo Meats fundraiser again. Just in time for Bar-B-Q season. More information to follow soon.
We are all in this club together so let’s work together to keep our hall open and treat each other with respect and kindness.
Beverly Larsson,
President
