HIGHLIGHTS
Recent Events:
- Poly Days 2025: Successful breakfasts served (165 Ham ‘n Eggers, 150 Pancake Breakfasts), raising $250 through 50/50 draws. Parade float and candy distribution were well-received despite hot weather. The Car Show ‘n Shine featured lively music, a silent auction, door prizes, and food sales, organized by Andre and Penny Brassard.
Upcoming Special Events:
- High Tea: Aug 24, 2025, for Life Members (80+ years old with 5+ years of membership).
- Ears to You Hearing Clinic: Sept 4 and Oct 15, 2025. Call 780-616-1929 for appointments.
- Harvest Dinner & Dance: Oct 18, 2025. Details to follow.
- Christmas Dinner & Dance: Dec 13, 2025. Details to follow.
Regular Activities:
- Game Night: Mondays at 7:00 PM starting Oct 6.
- Aerobics: Mon, Wed, Fri, 9:00-10:00 AM (year-round).
- Walking: Mon, Wed, Fri, 10:00-10:30 AM (year-round).
- Yoga: Thursdays, 9:30-11:00 AM ($12 fee).
- Bridge: Wednesdays, 1:00-4:00 PM (year-round).
- Choir: Wednesdays (evening) starting Sept 3 for winter and spring performances.
Volunteer Spotlight:
- Barrie was recognized for his efforts in removing weeds, trimming vines, and painting an exit door.
General Meeting:
- Scheduled for Mon, Oct 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM, before Games Night.
